Turn your venue into a more active member community.
GymBuddies™ Arena connects members, venue teams and everyday participation through Buddies, Groups, announcements, Challenges, Tournaments, facility discovery, bookings and payment records—without pretending to be a full venue ERP.
One Arena, different roles
The app changes with the role: members get the community and their own records, Staff get front-desk workflows, and Owners/Admins get management controls.
Members
Discover facilities, follow community updates, join Groups and competitions, manage Buddies, and see your own bookings and payment records.
Staff
Handle front-desk booking and payment workflows and member support without receiving Owner/Admin-only controls.
Owners and Admins
Manage the Arena community, members, facilities, bookings, payments, announcements, Groups, Challenges and Tournaments.
Member engagement—with the operational tools it actually needs
Arena is designed to give members more reasons to participate and stay connected to their venue community.
Facility discovery, staff-created bookings and payment records support that experience, but Arena deliberately stops short of becoming a general-purpose accounting, inventory or maintenance platform.
Arena launch scope
The features below reflect the actual Arena launch build and its deliberate boundaries.
Role-Aware Home
Members, Staff and Owners/Admins each get a focused dashboard with only the information and actions relevant to their role.
Buddies
Find permitted members in your Arena, send Buddy requests and manage connections within that Arena's privacy boundary.
Groups
Create and join Arena activity Groups so members can organise around shared sports, interests and participation.
Announcements
Owners/Admins can publish Arena or Group updates, while members can read and dismiss announcements from the Community experience.
Challenges
Run individual or team Challenges with entries, organiser-managed scoring and live leaderboard views.
Tournaments
Run individual or team Tournaments with entries, teams, results, leaderboards and finalisation. Brackets and fixtures are not part of the Arena launch scope.
Facility Discovery
Members can discover Arena facilities and understand the spaces available to them, while Owners/Admins maintain the facility catalogue and operating context.
My Bookings
Members can see their own Arena bookings. At launch, bookings are created by authorised Owners, Admins or Staff rather than by member self-service.
Payment Ledger
Authorised venue roles can record payments, track outstanding amounts and reverse eligible records. This is a record-keeping workflow, not a GymBuddies payment gateway.
In-App Notifications
Members receive an in-app notification feed with links to the relevant Arena entity. Push notifications are not part of the Arena launch scope.
Trainer Connections
Trainers connect through GymBuddies™ Trainer and can be assigned to Arena facilities without mixing Arena and Society organisation contexts.
Member & Staff Management
Owners/Admins manage Arena members and staff, while Staff receive only the operational permissions required for their role.
Report an App Issue
Arena users can report app issues through the shared GymBuddies support flow, with the issue correctly identified as originating from Arena.
Profile Hub
Appearance, engagement preferences, Report an issue, Sign out and Delete Account are kept in the profile hub instead of cluttering the Home header.
For Owners, Admins and Staff
Arena gives venue teams the focused controls required to support members without exposing every administrative capability to every role.
Members & staff
Manage member and staff lifecycle with role-specific permissions and clear separation between administrative and front-desk responsibilities.
Facility catalogue
Maintain Arena facilities, availability context and the facility assignments used by connected Trainers.
Bookings & availability
Create and manage Arena bookings with the canonical availability and conflict controls. Member self-service booking creation is not part of launch.
Payment records
Record payments and outstanding amounts, with reversal authority restricted to eligible roles. Platform Dues remain separate.
Community programmes
Create announcements, Groups, Challenges and Tournaments and manage results through finalisation.
Real-data dashboard
See operational and engagement information derived from actual Arena data rather than projected or invented analytics.
How GymBuddies™ Arena works
Your venue sets up Arena
Owners/Admins create the Arena, maintain facilities and establish the member and staff roster.
Members enter their Arena
Members use their GymBuddies identity inside the Arena they belong to, with each Arena kept separately scoped.
Engagement happens in one place
Announcements, Groups, Buddies, Challenges and Tournaments give members more ways to participate beyond an individual workout.
Operations support participation
Authorised venue roles create bookings, record payments and manage facilities while members see only their own permitted records.
Help members do more with their venue
A connected experience for participation, community and the operational records members need to see.
More participation
Give members clear ways to join Groups, Challenges and Tournaments and stay involved with their Arena community.
Stronger connections
Let members build Buddy connections inside the Arena instead of relying on disconnected social channels.
Better communication
Bring venue and Group announcements into the same member experience as facilities and competitions.
Useful facility context
Help members discover facilities while venue teams retain control over the booking workflow.
Strict organisation boundaries
Keep Arena memberships, bookings, payments and engagement data isolated from Society and from other Arenas.
Operational visibility
Give authorised venue roles a real-data dashboard and practical views across members, bookings, payments and engagement.
